I have always been fascinated by Dubai but never had actually liked it once I arrived. The concrete building new shiny roads and heaps of cheap
chinese electronic goods all made me feel as if I am in a man made concrete model city.
I was suggested by a friend to
take a Safari in the desert commonly known as desert Dune Safari I called up a friend in the travel trade to organise the
Safari.
At about 4PM the Safari driver called me and told me that he was waiting for me at the gate of the apartment
building I was staying at. I was ready and was actually waiting to be fetched to this so much talked about experience in Dubai.
I went down and introduced myself to the friendly Iranian driver who was quite friendly guy. he asked me to sit in the first
seat and we went to a hotel where he had to pick up 3 more tourists. We drove outside Dubiai for a while It was pretty much the
same.
Driver made us stop at a cold drink shop where he lowered the air in his tyres there were at least 20 Jeeps parking
and doing exactly the same practice all tourists were busy taking some drinks and cookies for the trip.
Minutes later
driver cam to us and told us he was ready so were we and we started off Drive made a turn to a smaller road and all of a sudden
there was no road we were driving in the sand wow that was first ever natural thing I saw in the desert. We went on the dunes
and our Safari driver drove on a tall sand due and Just at the very top he verly relaxinly decended down the steep dune the two
ladies behind nearly screemed but it was fun they enjoyed it so did i there were other tactic like driving right on the
shoulder of the dune and then making a turn blowing the sand in the air etc.
We stopped at a camel far whach was an other
great experience later driver bright us into a cam which was a lot different then the idea of a camp I had it was a settled
permanant desert restuarant wat a Dancing podium couches and a Bar a shop etc although not a lot interesting for me but the
people had a great time. Buffet dinner was laid and there would be about 150 tourists all lined up with their plates picking up
different dishes mostly Arabian and Indian as most of the tourists were Indians & iranians aparantly. As the dinner started a
russian girl with minimum clothes came on the podium and performed once again a surprisingly beautiful Arabian dance. Every one
enjoyed the dance and music and my mind started thinking about this who scenario as the highlight of any trip to Dubai.
We
were asked to be ready in 15 minutes after the dance and driver took us to the hotel first and dropped me off to my
home.
Since this Safari I started to like Dubai and It seems to be more of a natural city for me now.
I liked the
Safari so much that I actually started to make a website for Dubai http://www.dubai.travel-culture.com I now sell safaris on that site and enjoy
it very much.
